Ecordia supports ‘Inspiring The Future’
Many of you may already be supporting the charity Education & Employers, they are behind the excellent campaign ‘Inspiring The Future’. If you are not aware of this charity then please take a minute to look at their website.
Inspiring the Future is a free and easy way for schools, colleges and volunteers from the world of work to connect. It has been developed following extensive consultation with range of stakeholders – employers, education, government, third sector and intermediaries. Volunteers from Apprentices to CEOs, Archaeologists to Zoologists pledge just one hour a year to volunteer in a state school or college near where they live or work to talk to young people about their job and career route.
Apprenticeships
Inspiring the Future has over 15,000 volunteers from a range of professions and sectors, with nearly 3,000 who are well placed to speak about Apprenticeships to young people in schools and colleges. Schools and colleges are able to access these volunteers for free and invite them to speak to their students about their job, career and the education route that they took, and their own personal experience of undertaking an apprenticeship and/or how to access their profession through the Apprenticeship entry route. In addition the Inspiring the Future team in partnership with the National Apprenticeship Service run a series of school, college and community Apprenticeship events aimed at young people.
