Online Meetings - Video, Voice, Screen-Sharing and Recording!
Assessment staff can host or join online meetings. Candidates, workplace managers and expert witnesses can also join meetings.
With Ecordia Online Meetings You Can…
Host a meeting and invite one or many participants:
One-to-one video conferencing & screenshare
One-to-many video conferencing & screenshare
Many-to-many video conferencing & screenshare
You can also RECORD meeting video & screen-share
(these can then easily be added as evidence, or to a contact log in a portfolio).
And all, simply, through your web browser with no software download required.
Concurrent Usage & Control!
Ecordia Online meetings is unlike almost every other online meeting system as our system allows meetings to be hosted concurrently. Assessors can host a meeting anytime, regardless of how many other meetings are being run at the same time.
You choose who can host meetings, perhaps just a select few of your team, or all of your team.
You can also set minute usage quotas, per month, per user/assessor.
Assessors & Candidates
Ecordia Online Meetings are primarily to assist with evidence gathering. Assessors can run one-to-one online meetings with candidates and record these sessions to then be placed directly into their portfolio.
You can also talk to your candidates and agree such things as assessment plans and feedback, answer any queries and to check-up on their progress.
Moreover, from a recent survey of candidates on Ecordia, many reported that they would like more contact with their assessor, that they would feel happier and more motivated if they could speak to their assessor more often. Online Meetings makes this quick and simple to do!

4,200 minutes (35 hrs 1-to-1) – £26.65
2.5p per minute of recording.
Pricing for recording is dependent upon the duration of the recorded content, not on the number of participants. The fees for recorded minutes are purchased separately and do not expire until the end of your contract, or until used.
Based on the number of live, real-time streams being sent and broadcast at the same time from each participant, multi-person meeting costs are calculated as follows:
Number of minutes charged = number of people x (number of people -1) x the duration of the session.
A single 15 minute session with 3 participants equals 90 minutes total, cost = £00.56
A single 15 minute session with 10 participants equals 1350 minutes total, cost = £8.37
A single 1 hour session with 10 participants equals 5400 minutes total, cost = £33.48
With an online meeting you would save £90.00 in mileage costs for a 10 person, on-site meeting, with everyone travelling 10 miles. And you would save nearly 7 employee-hours, assuming 30mph average travel speed.
Why not use Skype?
Is everyone in your assessment centre, including all your learners, already using Skype for this purpose? If not then maybe you should ask why not? Skype is great for certain things, but for anything to work well in IT it has to be simple and as easy as possible for your staff, learners and employers. Skype is not always simple & easy!
Everyone involved has to have a Skype account. And if not, this has to be downloaded and installed as local software on their devices and laptop etc. And even if they do have the software and an account, you need permission to add that person by asking for their Skype name or email. They will then need to confirm and accept your contact invitation. Assessors will end up with hundreds if not thousands of contacts, many of which will become redundant in time and it can become messy and complicated.
Unlike Ecordia Online Meetings, Skype is not fully integrated into the Ecordia system. You have to download then upload any recording. It is too easy to download or upload the incorrect file, possibly causing data protection violations. With Ecordia Online Meetings the assessor simply goes to the learner portfolio and selects the recording. It even displays the name of the learner (or any participant) to confirm the correct recording file:
Yes, Ecordia Online Meetings does cost, but in reality it is excellent value for money. It makes the process significantly easier for staff and crucially, your learners. You can start using Ecordia Online Meetings for just £13 per month, try it and see just how popular and useful it will become.
